Fundraising
A great way of bring people together!
Here are some simple facts. 1. The cost of running St Andrew's Hospice is around £3 million pounds a year. 2. We rely almost entirely on fundraising and donations. 3. The community we serve is incredibly generous in its support for the work we do. 4. The business of fundraising never stops.
A Special Christmas Card at Work!
This is a great way of bringing work colleagues together to support a local charity. We supply an A4 sized Christmas card, which goes on your notice board and is signed by everyone taking part. Then, instead of everyone sending Christmas cards to each other, they make a donation to the Hospice.
Just think, you could save money on cards and still make a generous donation. Result!

Remember Us In You Will
It sounds a little clichéd to say that every little helps, but in our case it really does and every time someone leaves a legacy to the Hospice in their will, we are truly grateful, whatever the amount. If you've already made your will, it's a simple process to alter it, and if you don't yet have a will, we hope you'll bear the Hospice in mind.
Having a clear out, or looking for a bargain?
Please remember that you can bring your donations of clothing, toys, books, bric-a-brac, electrical appliances, furniture, etc, to the Hospice at Peaks Lane, or to any of our Charity shops. We always need good quality items to sell, so please remember us when you next have a clear out!

Do you already offer this service to your staff? It's really easy just contact your HR department and if they are already enrolled in the scheme they will deduct your gift at source from your salary so you won't be paying tax on your donation. If your company isn't already registered, then please try and persuade them to register and encourage their employees to sign up and support St Andrew's Hospice.
